Spanish 101

There are three kinds of verbs in Spanish: -ar, -er, -ir.

-AR VERBS ] -ER VERBS ] -IR VERBS ]

This means that the infinitive form of the verb ends in -ar, -er, or -ir.

-ar verbs end in -ar: escuchar, mirar, buscar

-er verbs end in -er: comer, beber, aprender

-ir verbs end in -ir: vivir, abrir, asistir

It is important to know if the verb is an -ar, -er, or -ir verb because they have different endings.
