The LTCC Fire Academy curriculum is designed to prepare students for initial employment in the field of Fire Technology. It also prepares students for upper divisional course work towards a bachelor's degree.
Teamwork Firefighters work as a team at emergency scenes. This 3 part course is physically demanding and the curriculum conforms to standards for certification by the California State Fire Marshal's Office.
As a Firefighter you must be in excellent physical condition to meet the demands of the job. This means you must work quickly, handling heavy equipment for long periods of time while wearing special protective gear in hot and hazardous environments.
Go For The Gold
In the Lake Tahoe Basin and the surrounding Sierra Nevada Range, many say that our certified Firefighters are worth their weight in gold. At $800 + per oz, are you ready to go for the gold?
