Botany Field Trip Make Up Choose any endangered or introduced plant native to the Tahoe Basin on which to do a research project. Get your topic approved by me. This information will include: complete taxonomy of the organism –for each taxon (level in the hierarchical structure of taxonomy), provide an example of a different, familiar organism in the same taxon for comparison description of external morphology with visuals (Drawings, photos, etc. be sure to provide a reference for each illustration or photo unless you are the artist.) pollination and reproductive details ecological niche biotic relationships e.g. role in the food web, predator/prey relationships, competitive relationships, pollination relationships, etc. special adaptations, making it unique and interesting management plan for this species in the Basin Students are required to submit a written paper, minimum of 6 - 7 pages for each field trip missed. Include a bibliography of at least 5 articles/books. Your bibliography may not consist entirely or web or electronic resources. |
