Lake Tahoe Community College, in partnership with the Foothill/DeAnza Community College District, is offering an exciting quarter at the University of London, during the Fall Quarter, 2006. The application deadline has been extended to August 18, 2006! What are the program dates?
What courses are available? Students will have the opportunity to choose from for-credit coursework that includes English, Art, Speech and Business Management. LTCC’s instructor Michelle Risdon is among the instructors who will be teaching in London. For a full list and description of courses, please review the London course schedule (link on the left). All students are required to take British Life and Culture, a 2-credit pass/fail course that will include fieldtrips throughout London and surrounding areas. What else is included in the London Program?
How much will my educational adventure cost? $4,215.00 (not including airfare) Is financial aid available for this trip? Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Please contact Julie Cathie, Director of Financial Aid. What other costs will I need to consider for my study abroad experience in London? The AIFS program does not include: · round-trip airfare between the U.S. and London. AIFS will provide you with airline tickets and airport transfers between the airport and your program at your request for $595.00 (excluding mandatory U.S. government and airline-imposed departure taxes and fees); · tuition to LTCC and other participating colleges; · textbooks; · meals (breakfast five days a week is included in the homestay package); · passport fees; · personal expenses such as laundry; · optional personal effects coverage ($80.00) and medical insurance upgrade ($60.00) from AIFS. Are there any requirements for participation in the London Program? Students must be at least 18 year of age as of the program start date, have a current grade point average of at least 2.5, and register for a minimum of 12 units (which includes the 2-unit mandatory British Life and Culture Course).
