Application Procedures
For Lake Tahoe Community College
Study Abroad Programs

• Contact the International Education Programs Coordinator; call or email to arrange an appointment
  (in person or by phone)

• Complete and submit all application materials and enrollment fees to LTCC.

• Upon review of application materials and verification of prerequisites (if required), LTCC will notify student of acceptance.

• Upon acceptance, LTCC will then enroll the student in the requested program and/or language institution.

• Confirmation from the program provider and/or language institution will then be sent to the student to let them know they have been properly enrolled and their arrangements for airport pick-up, housing & excursions have been made.

• Students need to then complete an orientation meeting with the International Education Coordinator.  Group programs (such as summer European Museum Tour 2004 or London Fall Quarter 2004) will have a group meeting.  Individuals traveling alone to the Foreign Language Institutes will have a one-on-one meeting either in person or by phone.

• Students also need to sign a health insurance wavier, if they have their own policy and/or decline to purchase student insurance while studying abroad.  (Participants in group programs are usually covered under the provisions of the group provider.)
