Course Objective To empower students to understand applications involving quadratic equations, exponential and logarithimic functions, sequences, series, and conic sections.

Grading Policy for Mat 154
Method of Student of Evaluation:
Exam 1 60 points Exam 2 60 points Exam 3 60 points Quizzes (based on homework) 60 points Final (covers entire course content) 60 points
Your letter grade will be based on your percentage of the possible points. The total possible is 300 points.
A 90-100% B 80-89% C 70-79% D 60-69% F less than 60%
Registration
1. You must register for this class at the Office of Admissions and Records.
2. The last day to drop the class with no record is Friday, October 17.
3. The last day to drop the class for "W" grade is Friday, November 21.
4. After November 21, if you are enrolled, you will receive one of the following grades: A, B, C, D, F or I (Incomplete is only allowed in special cases).
In this class, it is your responsibility to drop the class in order to avoid a grade. You must go to the registrar by the above dates to avoid a grade from option three or four.
Make Up Policy: quizzes and exams may only be made up with prior arrangement, due to family or medical emergency.
