Steps for Faculty Interested in Creating an Online Course

bulletFaculty are encouraged to develop their online course through the Etudes NG platform as this is the only course management system supported by the college.
bulletPlease discuss your interest in offering an online course with your department chair and dean.
bulletNote:  The college does not have the ability to provide extensive technical/training support to faculty.
Thus, if faculty want to explore this type of delivery system, they need to be:
bulletself-starters,
bulletself-learners, and
bulletcomfortable experimenting and problem-solving with technology
bulletCourses offered in an online format for the first time will need to be presented to and approved by the college's Curriculum Committee.  Please consult with your dean about this process.
bulletFor instructional assistance with distance education, contact Jackie Lou, our Distance Education Coordinator, at ext. 259 or at lou@ltcc.edu.  Jackie coordinates the college's online learning efforts and is available to help faculty regarding online instructional ideas and questions.  Jackie does not provide technical assistance.
