If you are not purchasing the AIFS travel package, read this page carefully.
The AIFS transportation package includes airport transfers at beginning and
end to/from the first point of the program which is in MADRID. All OTHER
transfers are part of the land package, even for students who arrange their own
travel. THUS, to be absolutely clear, students NOT taking AIFS flight are
only responsible for taking a taxi at their expense from Madrid airport to the
AIFS-arranged hotel in Madrid on their arrival day, the day the When we arrive in Madrid, we will stay at the Principe
Pio Hotel Residencia. Our tour of Madrid will be Sunday morning; we'll have Saturday evening free in Madrid. Once in that hotel they are part of the regular program, they get a tour in Madrid and transfer to Salamanca. They also get transfer back to Madrid with the other students at the end of the program, but are responsible for their own airport transfers from Madrid at the end (reverse of the beginning). Just to clarify, students NOT on AIFS flights should NOT attempt to meet the AIFS group at the airport as there will not be AIFS transportation for them. The AIFS buses have only been paid for by the students taking the AIFS transportation package of flight+airport transfers and space will reflect that. Students on own-arranged flights should go directly to the hotel and say they are with AIFS. There will AIFS staff staying at the hotel but they will be busy initially with the meeting and greeting of the AIFS flights. The staff will check in with own-flight students later in the day. |
