Spanish 202 Challenge Exam Study Guide

Text: Charlemos un poco, 2nd Edition (Heinle & Heinle)

Chapters 4, 5, and 6

 

Vocabulary: Study all vocabulary from chapters 4, 5, and 6.

Grammar:

  • Chapter 4

    • Object pronouns: Rewrite sentences replacing objects of the verb with direct and/or indirect object pronouns.

    • Verbs like gustar

  • Chapter 5

    • Demonstrative adjectives

    • Uses of ser and estar

    • Present perfect tense

    • Chapter 6

    • Reflexive verbs

    • Subjunctive in adjective and adverbial clauses

Compositions: You will be required to write three (3) different compositions of a least ten (10) sentences each. The three (3) topics will be provided. Review all readings and vocabulary words in chapters 4, 5, and 6.  One of the topics will be based on Lazarillo de Tormes, a novel that is read in Spanish 202. You will need to be familiar with the novela picaresca. A copy of Dos novelas picarescas is on reserve in the college library. It is the version used in Spanish 202.
